Patricia Parrish, age 80, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 19th, 2024 at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL. Private Family Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at 11:00 at the funeral home. In honor of Mrs. Parrish, the family requests everyone dress casually.
Mrs. Parrish was born on December 21, 1943 in Osceola, Arkansas, daughter of the late Johnson Monroe St. Clair, the late Juanita Bodiford Greene and the late Virgil R. Greene. She started her career on the production lines of Sunshine Biscuit Co. in Columbus, GA, where she met the love of her life, Norman. After they married, she then continued working for several years as the office manager for Dr. Julian Sizemore, pediatrician. She later became the office manager for Jackson Tile Company, where she finally retired. She also served as the “right hand” for her husband during many years for his company, Parrico Construction. She enjoyed reading books, watching movies, listening to music, drinking Coca-Cola (bottles preferred) and spending time with family. She had an infectious smile and was dearly loved by the many who knew her.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Norman; daughter, Patricia "Trish" Ubrey; and brother, David St. Clair.
Survivors include three sons, Robbie Parrish (Katie) of Tallahassee, FL, Barney Parrish (Lisa) of Columbus, GA, and Dennis Parrish of Phenix City, AL; two sisters, Diane Foster (Ronnie) of Buford, GA and Debra Palmer (Chuck) of Lavonia, GA; two brothers, Billy St. Clair of Columbus, GA and Danny Greene (Karen) of Dadeville, AL; six grandchildren, Riley Parrish, Reid Parrish, Kinley Parrish, Joshua Parrish, Reagan Parrish, and Krysten Burnham; six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
