Paula Ellen Fort

Paula Ellen Fort, 48 of Fort Mitchell, Alabama passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 25, 2014 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL, with burial to follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Fort was born March 22, 1966 in Honolulu, Hawaii; daughter of Paul Allen Weese, Sr. of Richmond, VA and Linda Parham Danie of Fort Mitchell, AL.

Paula was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother for whom she adored. She was educated in the field of nursing, an L.P.N. and dedicated the last 10 years to helping and caring for the people in need. She had worked in many different positions, but her favorite was the neo-natal and newborn care. She had hobbies in arts and crafts, but her other passion was the freedom of the road, riding with her husband; a member of the Iron Cross M.C. Nomad, attending rallies and being with friends. There was no one more loving, caring and loyal. If you were her friend, you were a friend for life.

Other than her parents, she is survived by she is survived by her loving husband, James Edward Fort, Jr. of Fort Mitchell, AL, daughter, Jessica Lorraine Howard of Phenix City, AL, sons, Samuel Charles Huffman of Phenix City, AL, and Dillon Peden of Birmingham, AL, step-mother, Patricia Weese of Richmond, VA, two brothers, Paul Allen Weese, Jr. of Bedford, VA, Robert Edward Weese of Fort Mitchell, AL, granddaughter, Amanda Gabriella Patterson. one step-son, Christopher James Fort, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
