Peggy Jane Yon, 77, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at the Piedmont Columbus Northside Hospital. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. in Lakewood Hall at Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Yon was born December 15, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia, daughter of the late Coadis L. and Iness Jane Mahan Ballard. She was retired from Johnston Industries after more than 20 years of service. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Victor Yon, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Stan L. Tarver, and his wife, Kazue, of Cartersville, GA; two grandsons, Stephen L. Tarver, and his wife, Samantha, of Columbus, OH and Kent T. Tarver of Sandy Springs, GA; one great-granddaughter, Aspyn Tarver, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
