Rebecca Irene Whaley

Rebecca Irene Whaley, 54 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Wednesday at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431 N., Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Ms. Whaley was born September 10, 1957 in Phenix City, Alabama. She is the daughter of the Late John Henry Whaley and Frances Irene Murphy Whaley of Phenix City, Alabama. She was employed wtih National Payment Solutions.

Survivors include her mother, Frances I. Whaley, her children, Liberty Baldwin and husband Joseph Baldwin, Jr. of Phenix City, AL, Nichole Brown of Columbus, GA, sister, Tammy Stroud and husband Rex of Salem, AL, grandchildren, Jayden Brown, Payton Brown, Justice Baldwin, Jeremiah Baldwin, her niece, Dana Stroud Kennedy, nephew, Danny Stroud both of Smiths Station, AL, many close friends and family. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of Columbus Hospice, Mrs. Theo and special friends for enouragement, prayers and dedication during this time.
