Robert "Bobby" Allen Kite

Bobby was born on July 19, 1959 to Joan Marie Scott and Ira Lee Kite. After graduating from Central High School in Phenix City, Bobby joined the Navy (1977-1992), in which he served as Active Duty in the Reserves, reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer. His children have fond memories of hearing random shouts of “Chief” when in town with their dad.

Bobby spent every moment he could living life to the fullest: hunting, golfing, weight-lifting, and fishing, even if it meant getting carried downstream from rising tide due to a dam releasing water.

Bobby definitely never thought of life as a spectator sport.

Bobby is predeceased by his father, sister Lisa Marie, and granddaughter Lauren Kite.

Bobby is survived by his siblings Andy Kite, Phyllis Shoffeitt, Cindy Holland, and Lee Kite; his children Kimberly McNabb and Jeremy Kite; and his grandchildren Jackson Kite, Beckett Kite, Cade McNabb, and Scarlett McNabb.

Services will be held at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary-Phenix City at 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, AL on Saturday, June 22nd at 2PM (ET).
