Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, August 17, 2026 from 9:00am until 10:00am at Smiths Station Baptist Church. Celebration of life funeral service will follow at 10:00am EDT with Rev. Dr. David Kees officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mr. Howard was born October 9, 1936 in Opelika, Alabama; son of the late Clarence and Jewel Williams. He was retired from Dolly Madison and served in the US Air Force. He was a member of Smiths Station Baptist Church where he was very active with seeing through a lot of building projects and other maintenance and was a member of the Wilson Williams Masonic Lodge in Phenix City.
Mr. Howard was active in the Smiths Station Little League Program for many years. He was an avid lover of Alabama Football, Atlanta Braves, loved gardening with his wife and fishing. Most of all, he loved his family.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Anne Owens Howard, his brother, Roy Howard and his son-in-law, Conrad Cleveland.
Survivors include his children, Sharon Harden, Ronald Williams Howard, Jr., Kelly Howard (Belinda), Dana Cleveland and Marsha Howard. He also leaves behind his brother, Doug Howard (Teresa), nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
