Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL with Reverend M.R. Hamilton officiating. A private family burial will follow. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the Lakewood Baptist Church, 4011 Lakewood Dr., Phenix City, AL, 36867.
Ronald grew up and lived in Phenix City, AL, where he graduated in 1978 from Central High School, he also graduated from Troy University with a BS degree in Accounting. After several part times jobs during school, he followed in his father’s footsteps and had a long successful career as a rural mail carrier with more than 30 years of service. He loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit many states over his lifetime. He made trips with his parents, also with his sister and niece, and most recently he was able to site see in Chicago, Boston, New York and Washington, D.C. His bucket list trip was Las Vegas, and after his retirement he made two trips there. He loved baseball and followed the Cubs and the Braves. His favorite sport to watch was Alabama Football and he attended several games. At home he loved gardening, his pets, cooking and spending time with family.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Jean Moore; brothers-in-law, Terry Stowe and Joel Kimbro; and also a niece, Terra Stowe-Starling.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Elizabeth Kimbro-Moore; two daughters, Jessica Martin White (Zackery) and Kathryn Elizabeth Martin George (Matthew); a grandson, Parker Judson White and parents David and Anne Kimbro. He is also survived by a sister, Rita Stowe Jernigan (Tony); three great nieces, Bethany Walker (Daniel), Danielle Strong (Matt), Brianna Kittrell (Will); two great-great nephews, Matthew Strong and Archer Kittrell; a sister-in-law, Patrisha Rahenkamp (Michael); sister-in-law, Karen Senn (Keith); nephews, Davy Kimbro, Jimmy Kimbro, Jason Kimbro; and a niece, Carrie Anne Kimbro (friend, James McCollum); James S. Morgan and many other family members.
