Rudolph Jerome Short

Rudolph Jerome "Rudy" Short, 76, of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Piedmont Midtown Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. EDT, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30pm until 1:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Short was born June 6, 1944 in Columbus, Georgia, son of the late Earl and Ella Mae Bryan Short. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Civil Service at Fort Benning, GA.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy Keith and Dawn Short; grandchildren, Terri Short, Amber Short, Erik Short, Sebastian Oseguera and Juliaunah Oseguera. He is also survived by nephews, Joey Short, Andy Oneal, Jeff Oneal, Frankie Oneal, and nieces, Jessica Owens and Paula.
