Mr. Sam was a great man with great values, and great family..I still Remember Mr. Sam from American Little League and North Columbus Babe Ruth..He was always full of fun and laughter, Sorry Hudson family for your loss

When Paul & I first married we lived a few houses down from Sam & Mary. They were family and I will forever remember
Sam's wide grin and crinkley eyes when he smiled. I like to think that Sam & Mary are reunited again so all is well for Sam now. My prayers go out to the family. Beverly

Joe,Brian & Bupie, There are so many things we could say but nothing will heal your heart and take away the pain but time and prayer, We loved Sam and Mary so much and Bobby loved Sam like a brother. They are a great loss to us all. We had a silent time at 4:00 today in memory, we could not be there in boby but we were there in spirit. We love you all and our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sam you will be missed. I didn't find out about your passing until today [Monday]. You were a wonderful friend and mentor. I'm going to miss all the good times we had. May God bless the Hudson family during this difficult time.

We are deeply sadden for your Lost. Mr. Sam will be truly missed. May you find comfort in knowing Mr. Sam is now rejoin with the love of his life Ms.Mary, May they both rest in peace.

My family will miss him so much. We have known him all our lives. He was like a father to my brother after our father passed and he was like a favored uncle to us girls. He touched our lives and lifted our spirits. We are sure he is with his beloved wife Mary now. Bless his family who are themselves just as special. We will always have many memories throughout all the years we knew and loved him.

David, Joe, Bryan and Delaine...I don't have to tell you all what Sam and Mary meant to me, because I believe you all have known for many years... I always had the feeling that "friendship" in a dictionary, should have a picture of them as an example. I will never forget the first time he met Suzanne. He later called me and said,"you got a good one"  My only regret, was that, because of heath issues of my own, I didn't visit him in the last few months. After our last conversation by phone I planned to go visit, and then was shocked to find out this sad news. Sam and I never discussed religion, but I consider myself a Christian, and I believe God has a special place for Sam in Heaven, with Mary. In our last phone conversation, Sam told me that he was ready to go and , as with all things he said to me over our long friendship, I believed him. I'm sure that many others agree, when I say our lives were greatly enhanced, by Sam being a part of it. My condolances to you, and all of his family and friends.

I know his family will miss him greatly, but know his precious Mary was so glad to see him Saturday morning!  Sam always had a smile on his face and I will always remember the years he and Daddy coached together at American Little League.

I am so glad I got to see Uncle Sam this past summer,when I was in Columbus.I remember spending time at his house when I was little in the swimming pool and watching him work on upholstery.I will always remember his smile and his laugh. I will miss you Uncle Sam.    Jeannine
