Sandra Lolley Caravana, 75 of Smiths Station, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Caravana was born February 15, 1945 in Fort Benning, Georgia; daughter of the late James Mark Lolley and Doris Roberts Selvester. She lived in Smiths Station most of her life and was a 1963 graduate of Smiths Station High School; later graduated cum-laude from Troy State University. She worked for five years as an Enrolled Agent for the IRS and went on to become the Owner/Operator of Sandra Caravana Taxes and Accounting Services
During her retirement, she loved to fish, loved the outdoors, loved flowers, the beach and antiques. But most of all, loved her children and spending time with her grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Kathy Randazzo and Carol Selvester.
Survivors include her husband, Richard R. Caravana; sons, Lee Jernigan and wife, Leigh, Michael Wayne Jernigan, Jason Jernigan and wife, Rechea; daughters, Debbie Sizemore and husband, Bill, Joanne Bowers and husband, John; son, Michael Caravana and wife, Angela; daughters, Gina Nelson and husband, David, Nancy Reynolds and husband, Mark; brother, Donnie Lolley and wife, Tracey; sister, Tammy Simmons and husband, Ricky; brother, Mark Lolley and wife, Amy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Haley Jernigan, Grace Lee Jernigan, Blake Wayne Jernigan, Mandy Sizemore, Shawn Sizemore (Darby), David Bowers (Laissa), Ross Bowers, Kyle Nelson (Jessica), Austin Nelson, Jarrod Reynolds (Anna), Erin Reynolds (Kyle), numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In keeping with efforts to assure the safety and health of our community during the current virus pandemic, the family will hold a private funeral service Monday, January 18, 2021 at Striffler-Hamby in Phenix City with Rev. Ralph Henderson officiating.
