“RED”

Scott Lee Rozar, 63 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away at his home on Thursday August 18, 2022. Scott was born May 6, 1959, in Mesa AZ to the late John Marvin Rozar of Eastman GA and Darla J. Price of Akron OH.
He was the second oldest of 4 boys and the child of an active-duty Air Forceman. Spent his early years in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he learned the fur trapping trade, fishing, snow skiing, and became a great outdoorsman. He was known to hide in the backseat of the car so he could fish with his dad. He also played Jr. High football. Later moved to Valdosta GA and attended Lowndes County High School. Being a red head with a red-hot temper, he earned his nickname “Red.” He served in the U S Army, and loved his mini dachshunds, Bitty and Lil Bit.
Scott was very enthusiastic about corvettes, he enjoyed cruising around town and road trips in his corvettes, enjoyed watching his favorite football team, Alabama “Roll Tide” and winning at the casino. He cooked, cleaned house, washed laundry, and maintained a long-term relationship with his wife /ex-wife Angela for 23 years.
He was “one of a kind.”
By trade he was a commercial construction builder, framer of interior acoustical ceilings, hanging and finishing sheetrock. He was stout, strong was tough.
Scott had a strong work ethic; he was known to work hard and play harder. Underneath that harsh exterior he was a kind hearted and thoughtful soul. He knew and served his heavenly father, the best that he could.
Other than his parents, John M. Rozar and Darla P. Rozar, he was preceded in death by his older brother Marvin John Rozar, of Hahira, GA
Survivors include two brothers, Craig A. Rozar of McDonough GA, and Timothy A. Rozar (Ellen) Waycross GA, and sister in-law, Abby Rozar, Hahira, GA; 5 children; Brandon Moore, Valdosta GA, Sean Moore, Valdosta GA, Nikole Renee Wilson, Bentonville AR, Tyler Lee Hamby (Jada) Valdosta GA, Peyton L Manskar, Columbus, GA and 6 grandchildren; Matthew P. Chena, Phenix City AL, Mason Scott Wilson, Bentonville AR, Landon Gauntly, Bentonville AR, Karstyn Hamby, Valdosta GA, Jake Hamby, Valdosta, GA and Josh Hamby, Valdosta GA.
The family expresses a "special thanks" to family and care-givers Greg Ware, Matthew Chena and Columbus Hospice.
