Sharman Kay Hopkins

A visitation for family and friends for Sharman will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary - Phenix City, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will occur Friday, July 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 3770 Highway 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama 36867. An interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 3800 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama.

Sharman was born September 18, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia; daughter of the late Morgan Chapman Sowell and Kay Nell Whittle Sowell. She was a homemaker, an AKC Dog Breeder, an avid genealogist and loved the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Hawks. She was Presbyterian by faith.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Danny Hopkins, daughters, Heather Bennett (Keith), Desiree Kennison (Butch Battley), sons, Brian Hopkins, Danny Ray Hopkins, brother, Timothy Sowell (Terry); grandchildren, William Duffield, David Pierce, Jr., Morgan Pierce, Max Kennison, Emily Kennison, Angel Hopkins, Christopher Hopkins, Jacob Hopkins; great grandchildren, Marlowe Pierce, Koleton Schlader and her beloved fur babies, Bambi, Buffy, Poo-Pie, Itsy, Toby, Mitch, Garley and Crimson.
