Shawn was my first cousin...we grew up together I loved him I was almost exactly 5 years older ....we spent many a days together from his birth till adulthood...he and my lil brother Tim are now together in the are now together in the arms of jesus.  They were more than  cousins they where best friend.it came as a shock to me that. He has passed as I only found out last Christmas eve .my mother Gail had went to mount to put out flowers on all our family graves and saw his Tombstone  .I'm am deeply saddened  by this bit Also gracious to God that be is home with his mother Janice and grandma Emma ..and Tim.i would like his wife Shelly and their children to know the Maginness and Welborn families send their condolences. I had the incredible privilege of working alongside Shawn in Environmental Health at the Columbus Health Department.  Shawn was the steady, calm voice as he dealt with situations that came his way and you would see his caring heart in his decisions. On a personal note, Shawn also helped us convert an office into a master closet.  I will cherish it always.  May God's love and grace be with Shelley and his beautiful children.  - Pam Fair 

I worked with Shawn in Chattahoochee County. He loved his family and spoke of them often.  My prayers go out to them; "Lord it's in your hands"

I'm saddened to hear of the passing of such a wonderful soul who's life was cut short....way to soon. Shawn was such a vibrant person, always willing to help and talk with anyone.

Shawn was a great friend, a listening ear, good counsel and someone who always lent a helping hand. He was trustworthy, honest and hard working. He was considerate, respectful and compassionate. He was the backbone of the Columbus Health Dept. and had the love of many who worked along side of him. He would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. I was privileged to know Shawn and his family as friends and I will forever miss him.
May God wrap his arms around Shelley, Emma, Ben and the Taylor family and keep them in his love. 

A wonderful person and good friend , always helpful and well mannered. He will be missed very much by those who knew him well and loved him.  God bless you Shelley, Emma, and Ben
