Stephen M. “Steve” Studds, 52, of Phenix City, Alabama, died Saturday December 10, 2011 in Columbus, Georgia. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday December 13th in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway

431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, with the Reverend Brad McDaniel officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Steve was born June 28, 1959 in Washington, D.C., son of the late Charles F. Studds, Sr. and Bernice Sheppard Studds. He was a former self employed construction contractor and a member of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Phenix City.

Survivors include his wife, Alicia Rathel Studds, sons , Michael Anthony Studds and wife Meredith, all of Phenix City, Ryan Patrick Studds of Orlando, Fl., daughters, Stephanie Michelle Hall of Charleston, SC., Brittany Autumn Studds of Huntsville, AL., Amber Nicole Studds , Kristin Lynn Studds and Heather Leann Studds, all of Phenix City, brothers, Charles F. Studds, Sr. and Anthony John Studds, sisters, Josephine Marie Broadway and Anne Marie Studds, all of Norfolk, VA., Grandchildren, Madilyn Studds, Ashton and Addison Estes, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
