Steve Phillips

Steven Matthew "Steve" Phillips, age 61, resident of Salem, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at his residence. Graveside services are scheduled at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 2 p.m. with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating.

Steve was born March 30, 1958 to the late John Steven Phillips and Linda Joy Meadows Phillips. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he honorably served his country for over 7 years. Steve was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Salem, Alabama. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, never met a stranger, and a practical joker to many. Steve loved his family, the beach, and showing family members how to be a good fisherman. Steve's family remembers him as a loving person and will miss him always.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Phillips of Salem, Alabama; three daughters, Marie Phillips of Bleeker, Alabama, Brooke Jesperson and her husband Jace of Washington, and Amanda Phillips and her husband Jonathan Welch of Phenix City, Alabama; one sister, Gail Phillips Robertson and her husband Dale of Roswell, Georgia; one brother, Mark Phillips of Seale, Alabama; seven grandchildren, B.J., Grace, Cash, Kaitlyn, Millie, Gavin, and Gunner; many other relatives and friends.
