Theresa Strunk, age 62, resident of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Piedmont Columbus Midtown Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Theresa, daughter of the late Kenneth Hiram Strunk and Arizona Woodward Strunk, was born July 4, 1957 in Augsburg, Germany. She was Baptist by faith and served many residents in the Columbus area as a Registered Nurse. Her distinguished career in nursing span over 28 years, working in both hospitals and nursing facilities. She worked in ICU, Pediatric ICU, and the Emergency Department at Columbus Regional Medical Center; Magnolia Manor Nursing Facility; and Columbus Hospice. Both in nursing and at home, her life was centered around helping others before herself. She loved caring for animals and spending a quality evening watching America's Funniest Videos. Her family remembers her as a noble lady,always giving to others in need. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gail Strunk. Theresa is survived by a son, Justin Strunk, currently serving in the U.S. Army; one sister, Vivian Strunk of Waverly Hall, Georgia; one brother, Steve Strunk and his wife Karen of Pipe Creek, Texas; many other relatives and friends. Theresa this is so hard for me. We had gotten close again chatting on Facebook. I love you my precious cousin more than you will ever no, even though we haven’t saw each other in a very long time. I will never forget you and you’re kindness that you showed to me. You are missed more than you could ever imagine. I love you Cuz always RIP my precious angel.
