Timothy David Casteel

Mr. Casteel was born April 10, 1952 in Columbus, Georgia to the late James Fletcher Casteel and W. Hazel Barber Casteel. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Casteel. He was a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama.

Funeral services for Mr. Casteel will be 2:00 pm, on Monday, August 24, 2020 in Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 3770 Hwy 431, Phenix City, Alabama with a private burial in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Striffler-Hamby.

Survivors include his wife, Sharlene Casteel, children; Vickiy (Shawn) Sheely of Waverly Hall, GA, Robert James Casteel of Columbus, GA, and Jeremiah David Casteel of Ft. Mitchell, AL; one brother, James Fletcher (Pat) Casteel of Woodstock, GA; one sister, Rebecca O’Brien of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Alexander Casteel, Alia Casteel and their mother, Alicia Casteel, Abigayle Miles Sheely, Madisyn Sheets and Logan Sheets; and close family friend whom he considered a daughter, Meagan (Patrick) Sheets.

Mr. Casteel and his wife were foster parents for over fourteen years and fostered over a hundred children. He was well loved and will be greatly missed. He never gave up fighting for his family, whom he loved so much.
