Tonya A Doherty Hancock

Tonya Annette Doherty Hancock, 30, of Smiths Station, Alabama died Sunday November 21, 2009 in Smiths Station. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday November 24th in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Highway 431 N, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867 with the Reverend Mark Carlock officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.

Tonya was born May 9, 1980 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of Robin Annette Pope Doherty and Robert Michael Doherty of Smiths Station, AL. She is a a 1998 graduate of Smiths Station High School and lifelong area resident. Tonya is preceded by her grandfather William Daniel Doherty and aunt Dorothy Faulk.

Survivors other than her parents include her daughter, Amber Paige Hancock, son, Noel Michael Broaddus , brother, Joseph M. Doherty, all of Smiths Station, grandmothers, Mrs. Willie Doherty and Mrs. Ruth Perkins both of Phenix City, grandfather, Hubert Pope of Glenwood, AL. fiancé, Gabe Howard, special friends, Angie and Nadia, aunts, uncles,
