Vickie Lynn Hall

Vickie Lynn Smith Hall, 55 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 6, 2013 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 3770 Hwy 431N/280W Phenix City, AL with burial to follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Vickie was born February 12, 1958 in Columbus, Georgia; daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie Redden Smith. She was a member of Columbus First Seventh Day Adventist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Grewe.

Survivors include her devoted son, Andrew Wood of Phenix City, AL, brother, Terry Smith of Taylorsville, NC, nephews, Ryan Blanton, Ronnie Blanton both of Smiths, AL, Patrick Smith of Columbus, GA, nieces, Whitney Smith of Columbus, GA, Allie Smith, Samantha Smith, Nikki Smith all of Taylorsville, NC, former husband, Russell Wood of Phenix City, AL, mother and father-in-law, Margaret Ann and Jerry Wood of Columbus, GA, many other relatives and friends.Vickie was known for her sweet disposition and her ability to make anyone laugh in any situation. Vickie's faith brought her through many trials in her life, all of which she came through with a smile on her face. Vickie leaves behind a legacy of love.
