William Larry Stewart, age 63, lifelong resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled at Lakewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, Phenix City, Alabama on Wednesday, October 10,2018, 11 a.m. with Reverend Marvin Minton officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 5-7 p.m.

Mr. Stewart, son of Louise Garrett Stewart and the late William Gordon Stewart, was born November 7, 1954 in Columbus. He graduated from Central High School in 1973 and after high school he pursued a career in sales. He began his career with Coca Cola, later worked for Nexxus hair products, and then worked many years with Drummond American Corporation where he retired with disability. Mr. Stewart was a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church; an avid hunter; and loved Auburn football.

He is survived by his mother, Louise Stewart of Phenix City, Alabama; one sister, Cindy Wood and her husband Chris of Phenix City, Alabama; and one nephew, Cody Wood also of Phenix City, Alabama; other relatives and numerous friends.

I JUST NOW FOUND OUT ABOUT LARRY. WE WERE FRIENDS FOR
MANY YEARS AND HAD SOME GREAT TIMES IN COLUMBUS. PLAYING GOLF
AND NEVER MISSED A NIGHT CLUB. EVERYONE LOVED LARRY, I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GREAT TIMES WE HAD. I LOVED LARRY. GOD BLESS THE FAMILY.

Cindy, Cheri and I were so very sorry to hear of Larry's passing. He fought the good fight and is at peace with no more sickness. May God continue to bless you and your entire family in the days and months to come. May you find comfort in knowing Larry is home with the Lord, until we all get to see him again.
