Abel N. Huerta

August 24, 1933July 2, 2019

Abel N. Huerta was born in Andrade California on August 24, 1933 to Eliseo and Refugia Huerta.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Gloria and his 4 children Eunice, Priscilla, Abel, and Gloria Ann.

Abel was deeply beloved by his 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson and will be remembered fondly by his surviving brothers Eliseo, Daniel, Angel, and Benjamin and remaining loved ones, coworkers, neighbors and friends.

He is preceded into Heavenly Glory by his beloved parents Eliseo and Refugia and his adored sister Rachel.

Abel was a rare breed of man. He was a strong man but could laugh and joke with such a natural ease. Being a natural people person, everywhere he went he found someone that he could carry a conversation with. He worked hard and loved to work. He carried a passion inside of him that wanted excellence for himself and those around him and he often pushed others to work harder, to grow and learn, to try and not give up in their lives, whether it was in their personal lives, work or school.

He absolutely loved his family and he would call his children, siblings, and grandchildren often to chat with them, to check on them, or to just see if they needed anything. Everywhere he went, he bragged about his family because he loved and adored them that much.

He will be greatly missed and the void that his passing leaves can never be filled, but the comfort of knowing that he placed his eternal salvation and hope into the hands of his Savior, Jesus Christ, brings his family and loved ones the most sublime peace and comfort of knowing we will be reunited again with him in the Heavenly Kingdom of God.

There is so much I want to say about my Tata. From my very earliest memories, my Tata always had me with him. We would "go and see and man about a cow" or he would take me for a walk around the neighborhood and look at all the neighbors yards. Sometimes he would make me take his work boots off but then reward me with twinkies from his lunchbox . As I grew older, we spent even more time together. During the summer's when I stayed with my grandparents I knew every Friday we were going to Long John Silvers and I LOVED it. When I became a woman my Tata took me to all my doctors appointments and did that for years, even though I had a car.
Those special times when it was us the 2 of us are the memories I will cling to until I see him again in the clouds waiting for me.
I love you Tata. I LOVE YOU TATA.

My tio Abel was a character. I remember seeing him weekly as I was growing up at nana's house. Always joking around . Smiling and sticking his chest out saying I'm a tough man. He would also without fail he would always tell me ok " tell everyone who's the best looking of all of us " when next to any of his brothers. You will be missed tio. We love you ! Love, Olivia
