

Arturo Avelar (Art) 50, passed away Wednesday June 18, 2014.Arturo was born Jan 10, 1964, in Chicago IL. Arturo is survived by his wife Esperanza (Hope), his daughters Vanessa, Marcela, Adriana & Veronica, son in law Lester Sliva, grandsons Cuauhtémoc Avelar, Joseph Alejandro Sliva & Elijah Christian Sliva, his mother, Hortencia Avelar and siblings, Carlos ( Susie), Gloria (Rick), Patricia (Nicolás), Carmen (Robert), Tina (Rodney), Victor (Pauline), Ernesto (Paula)
He is preceded in death by his father, Carlos Avelar and his mother in law Maria Teresa Vega.
Arturo honorably served his country in the US Army. He was an entrepreneur and owner of A.O.A Heating and Cooling LLC for many years in Phoenix AZ.
Arturo lived for his family, he loved spending time with his wife, daughters and grandsons; they were the Joy of his life.
He loved traveling, Arturo and Hope were fortunate enough to take many trips and share many memories together.
Anyone who knew Arturo can tell you he was a life time Chicago Bears fan and loved having the best parties and gatherings. He wanted everyone to have a good time. Arturo had an enormous love for life, a loud contagious laugh, a giving generous heart and one of the warmest smiles.
Arturo loved riding his Harley and blasting his music. He stood 6 ‘1”a ton of fun and loved to bake his famous cookies.
He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Celebration of Life Ceremony is being held Tuesday, June 24 2014 at Resthaven Park, 4310 E. Southern Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85042. Viewing is from 10:00 am – 11:30am, service to follow.
