Carmellenah was born on April 8, 1941 in Terre Haute, Indiana, but lived most of her adult life in Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Philip Lee Pettit.
Carmellenah is survived by her four children, Kenneth Pettit, Keith Pettit, Paul Pettit, and Phyllis Benson, along with seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Carmellenah had a career as a Registered Nurse, and after retiring enjoyed spending time with her family -- especially her grandchildren. She was also an avid football fan.
A graveside service will be held on July 30, 2025 at 10:00 am at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, located at 4310 East Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042.
