Carmen Angulo Vargas passed away on August 17, 2015, at the age of 93. Carmen was born on April 17, 1922 and was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Carmen loved her family very much. She was a strong woman who had a big heart and opened up her home to many people. She often helped those less fortunate than herself, providing food and clothing. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, shopping and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughter- Teresa Benevidez, her five grandchildren- Shawn Marquez, Micaela Dalley, Rene Marquez, Vanessa Vargas, and Teresa Vargas and her eight great-grandchildren- McKenna, Olivia, Victoria, Donovan, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Jameson, and Alexander as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents- Pablo and Luz Angulo, her brothers- Gustavo, Paul, David, Louis, Gilbert, Henry, Leo, Adam, Daniel and Arthur, and her devoted son- Danny Vargas. Services will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 4310 East Southern Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85042.
