

He was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, on September 21, 1997, to Martha Lilia Rangel Anaya(+) and Dagoberto Garcia Diaz. In 2002, after the heartbreaking loss of his mother, Nicole Chavira Garcia lovingly stepped in and devoted her life to raising Damian with unconditional love, guidance, and care until his passing.
He is survived by his father, Dagoberto Garcia Diaz, and by Maria Garcia Castro, who provided him with support and care throughout many years. He is also survived by Nicole Chavira Garcia (Sergio Garcia), and his loving sisters, Brenda Noriega (Francisco X. Noriega), Valeria Gonzalez (Daniel Gonzalez), and Natally Garcia. Damian was a proud and devoted uncle to Xavier and Roman Noriega, whose lives brought him endless joy, laughter, and love. He was also a beloved grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by his many extended family members and loved ones.
Damian was truly the life of every gathering — always singing, dancing, laughing, and bringing joy to those around him with his playful spirit and sense of humor. Damian always carried a smile and had a spirit that could brighten even the darkest room. He had a remarkable way of making every moment unforgettable, creating lasting memories with the family and friends he loved,
Damian had a deep love for sports and took great pride in participating in Special Olympics. Being part of Special Olympics brought him so much happiness, purpose, and excitement. He enjoyed every moment — from competing and staying active to building friendships and being part of a community he truly loved. His passion, determination, and joyful spirit shone every time he participated. He earned several medals and trophies throughout the years.
For seven difficult months, Damian fought cancer with incredible strength, courage, and grace. Even through pain and hardship, he continued to show love, kindness, and resilience. His strength inspired everyone around him. Though his battle was not easy, he never allowed his illness to define the beautiful soul that he was.
On his final day, Damian was surrounded by his most intimate family, who comforted him, held him, and reminded him how deeply loved he was. While the pain of losing him is unbearable, there is peace in knowing he is no longer suffering and is now resting in the arms of God and reunited with his beloved mother, Martha, in heaven.
Damian’s essence will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
