Life Reflection Deotie Elbert, 78 was called home Sunday, January 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband John Edward Elbert and son Willie Earl Watts Jr., her parents John and Mary Reed and brothers Robert Lee Reed and Claude Reed, sister Pearlie May Brooks and daughter Jamie B. Leggions. She was born in Monroe, Louisiana on November 9, 1941 to the late John Reed Sr. and Mary Lee Reed. In 1970, she married the late John Edward Elbert Sr. and they were blessed with 45 years of marriage until he went home to the lord. Left to cherish her memory are sons John Elbert Jr. (Barbara), Tim Elbert, Keith Chissell, Julian Mills, Roosevelt Mills, John Covington (Karen), Kurt Rhodes (Tina). Daughters Ella Elbert, Rosalind Toney Nikiema (Assamia), Juanda Hayes (Edgar), Janet Johnson (Rick), Jacquelin Royal, Arlene Williams, Alisha Gilliam. Brothers Frank M. Reed, John H. Reed, Johnny Lee Reed. Sisters Helen Parris, Clara Reed, Bessie M. Beshar (Sahim), Tessie Reed as well as 43 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. And a special cousin Josephine Grace and a special friend Tawanna Webb, like a daughter thank you for being there, you really made her last few days very happy for her. Thank you Tawanna so much.
