Francis Lee McCrory, age 83, of Wittmann, Arizona, died early Friday morning, July 3, 2020 in his sleep at his beloved home. Born November 7, 1936, in Moravia, Iowa, he was the son of the late Harry McCrory and Mae (Brizendine) McCrory.
Francis was a respected mechanic who worked at J.C. Penney Automotive, Western Technologies, Sanderson Ford and Larry's Auto Service. As a skilled mechanic who loved God, he treated everyone as family and was always helping others with their cars, with home repairs and anything else they needed. He was very active in the church teaching Bible classes, leading communion and volunteering wherever someone was needed. In his spare time, he enjoyed home improvement projects, taking care of the lawn, tinkering with his own cars and spending time having fun with his friends and family.
Francis is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Darlene A. McCrory; along with three children; Ann Harms of Glendale, Arizona, Scott and Christine Myers of Yuma, Arizona, and Duane and Tanya McCrory of Lancaster, California; five grandchildren, Brooke Denny, Shannon Wallin, Daniel McCrory, Kathy Atwan, and Brandon Myers; his brother Lloyd Eugene (Gene) McCrory and many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Memorial services for Francis McCrory will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 16, 2020 at West Olive Church of Christ on 10935 W. Olive Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345. Burial will follow at Resthaven Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens on 4310 E. Southern Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85042. Friends may visit with the family and attend a viewing on Thursday, July 16, from 9:30 until 10:00 AM at West Olive Church of Christ.
