Lupe was for many years more family than friend.  I met her through my sister Lily and Aggie.  They were great friends to Martin and he made sure he brought all of his  family to America.  We were always very close, attending each other’s parties including Lupe’s quince which was the ultimate of fun. My sister  Eliza and Lupe would always go dancing 💃🏻  which is when she met her husband Mike.  We laughed because that is when the ceiling  at Calderon  Ballroom fell on top of them in one if their dance outings.  Thankfully they were not hurt.  Lupe helped me tremendously when I had my husband’s Grandmother and Aunt living with us.  They were up in age and Lupe took care of them for me for many years.  I will forever be grateful.  💗 and hugs my friend.  Rest In Peace.

Always showed up on special days for her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed .❤️

Attending special moments in life with family are the most important for me (the gift of time) to create beautiful memories especially with pictures! I love to gather my family as my uncle Martin use to do for all of us growing up and I took that role proudly! I’m truly grateful my Tia Lupe was able to attend both of my daughter’s most recent Quinceañeras in 2023 and in 2025! 

This is my last picture taken with her on January 11th, 2025 and Lupe looked so beautiful on this day! She was happy to be alive, be present and she was proud to see her all her grandchildren and my family dance all night! I remember praying 🙏🏼 that Tia Lupe stayed strong and healthy enough to attend this last quince event and I’m blessed that she was able to make it to this last special family gathering and celebration of life with her in it! ❤️

Since I can remember my Tia Lupe has always been there in the good and bad times in life but especially a family or friends fiesta of any kind! She never missed a good PARTYYY!!! We shared this picture at a family wedding in Mexico on February 1st, 2023! This was her last trip back to her roots and she was so happy to go visit!
