a very gentle man, died in his home on October 20th, 2012 at the age of 89. Born in Fresno, California in 1923, he lived a very full life although his mother died when he was 4 years old and his father was to ill with tuberculosis to parent. Raised by older siblings in Phoenix and California from a very young age he left school after the 6th grade. Working various jobs until old enough to join the Army he served during World War ll in the Philippines, New Guinea, and Australia. After the war he married Anita Kennedy and they adopted two children, Robert and Mary Jo. Harold was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. As a journeyman carpenter he was the sole supporter of his family. There will be a dinner at his Niece's home in Tempe to honor his memory on Thursday night and the graveside service on Friday at 10:00am. Harold is survived by Niece Kim Charrier and Billie Haynie
