Jean Percy Beals was born in 1930 in Phoenix, AZ. She grew up in southwest Phoenix. She met her husband, Colin Beals at Arizona State University. She loved horses her whole life. She was a longtime member of the Desert Saddlebags and Las Damas women’s trail riding groups. She was a 4-H horse club leader and was very involved in the Arizona Paint Horse Club. She had three children, John Beals, Sheri Beals Barna and Kristi Houston. Jean had 5 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a delight to be around, everyone, especially her family, loved her. She made everyone feel special in her life.
