Jenny Figueroa entered into eternal life on October 27, 2026, at the age of 81.
Jenny was born on May 3, 1945, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Isabell Baldizan and John Vasquez. Born and raised in Phoenix, she built a life defined by strength, determination, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Strong-willed, outspoken, and never one to shy away from speaking her mind, Jenny was a woman of remarkable character who stood firmly in what she believed. She was the backbone of her family, the steady presence through life's challenges, and the glue that held everyone together.
Jenny shared a beautiful love story with her beloved husband, Raymond "Monchie" Figueroa, that began in 1959. They married on January 29, 1964, and together built a family rooted in faith, love, and devotion. Throughout their 57 years of marriage, they raised three children and established a foundation that would continue through generations. Together, they created a life centered around family, one that would become their greatest and most enduring legacy.
Above all else, Jenny's greatest pride and joy was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family was at the center of her life, and she took great pride in watching each generation grow. Jenny expressed her love in her own way, through the meals she prepared, the traditions she created, and the countless ways she cared for those around her. Her actions spoke louder than words, and her dedication to her family was evident in everything she did.
Lovingly known as Nana to her grandchildren and Little Nana to her great-grandchildren, Jenny held a special place in the hearts of each generation. For her grandchildren, Nana's house was more than just a place to visit; it was a place where so much of their childhood unfolded. Afternoons after school were spent in her care, and summers were filled with days at her home. She was a constant presence throughout their younger years, helping care for them, watching them grow, and becoming part of the everyday memories they would carry into adulthood.
Jenny was also known for her cooking and her ability to bring people together. Her door was always open, and there was always room for one more at her table. It didn't matter who you were or where you came from; everyone was welcome in Jenny's home. She never hesitated to prepare a meal for anyone who walked through her door. Her home became a gathering place for family and friends, where conversations were shared, memories were made, and everyone had a place.
Jenny is survived by her children, Linda Figueroa and Anthony Figueroa; and Danny Coronado, a longtime family friend and best friend of her late son, Raymond Figueroa Jr., whom she lovingly considered a son of her own. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Leija, Raymond Figueroa, Marcos Figueroa, Jeweliana Figueroa, and Jennifer Leija; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Layla Jules, Cisco Jules, Ciela Jules, and Luna Jules.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond "Monchie" Figueroa, and their firstborn son, Raymond Figueroa Jr.
Jenny was a woman whose strength, unmistakable personality, and dedication to her family left an impression that will never be forgotten. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a guiding presence in the lives of those who knew her. She helped shape generations not only through the lessons she shared, but through the example she set and the countless ways she showed up for her family.
Although her passing leaves an immeasurable void, Jenny's greatest legacy lives on in the family she leaves behind. Her strength lives on through her children, her influence continues through her grandchildren, and her story will be carried forward by her great-grandchildren. The family she spent her life caring for will continue to honor her through the memories they cherish and the bonds that keep them together.
After five years apart, Jenny is reunited with her beloved Raymond, together once again in eternal peace.
