He was born in Missouri on 1/1/1943, as a wonderful addition for the new year to his parents Tommie and Ruby Rhodes.
He was married to Betty Rhodes on 9/17/1975, in Phoenix, Arizona and spent the next 50 years a very lucky man because of that union.
He spent much of life dabbling in oil and gas at Hudson Oil and ran his own trucking company, Double R Trading for years after leaving Hudson Oil. He took great pride in his work and providing for his family.
He was a proud member of the United States Navy and served his country well.
He is survived by his wife Betty Marie Rhodes, 10 kids, 17 grandkids and a growing number of great grandchildren. Many of whom were with him at the end of his life as he held court one last time for all of us.
A funeral service will be held at Resthaven / Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, located at 4310 East Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042, United States. The service is scheduled for January 20, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
