Mr. Chavez is my brothers suegro-father n law. One of the memories that I alwasy think of when I think of Mr. Chavez -is at my nices Amanda's birthday(not sure how old maybe 2) it was at Estban park, Jose and Hortencia arrived in a truck and they took down a bike, with training wheels and roll it up to Boboo- they both said -the bike is for Amanda so she can ride around and loose some of that baby weight.  Everyone laughed,then he put Amanda on the bike to try to get her to ride it. Another was when my bro invited me to one of the few fights Mr.Chavez had at his house, this was at the "New" house. The TV was outside in the old horses stalls in the back. It was during Christmas time everyone had their Christmas lights on. This was the Carbajal fight(I think) where Carbajal lost in 30seconds into the 1st round(I not sure which fight it may have been). It was so cold outside. We were all outside watching the fight and watching the kids run around and playing outside in the huge grassy yard. The reason why I think of this moment is because that's when I really saw the side of him that I haven't saw, the father, the Tata, the father n law side of him. I saw how he interacted with all the kids and treated every last one the same including mine. How he laughed and enjoyed his time with everyone who surrounded him at that present moment. I respect Mr. and Mrs.Chavez so much! It's been a pleasure to have knownJose and the Chavez family! To the Chavez family, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. May the Lord always be with you all. 

Luis, growing up together was an experience for me you were such a loving brother you protected me all the time and you made sure that I was always safe. You never forgot about me from the time you and Tencha started having your babies you had me there at your side helping you take care of your children you trusted me with them and for that I will always be grateful. You taught me how to ride a bike you played with me all the time and took me for rides in your Lowrider car 🥰 while  playing your music on your 8 track player 😂 and playing under the lemon tree in the backyard while eating grapes off the grapevines that Tata Augustine had planted.  We  had many great times together and I will forever cherish those memories, they are embedded in my heart.  I will miss you my brother, but I will never forget you.  I know that you are at peace and you are no longer in pain you are now with Mary Jane, your dad my dad, Tata Augustine and all your aunts and uncles in heaven. Save me a place in heaven until we meet again. I love you so much and I will never ever forget you. I Love you my brother. Rest In Peace ♥️ 😢

Jose was a joy to have at our day program.  He started attending the program in 2011 but I did not have the pleasure of knowing him until July 2014.  He always would brighten up your day with a joke and enjoyed joking around with everyone.  We would constantly kid each other. His sense of humor is what drew you to him.  He was always willing and able to translate if we could not quite figure out what someone was trying to convey.  He would participate in all of the activities even if he was not too thrilled with them.  Jose was a true gentleman and enjoyed socializing with anyone.  He will be missed by both participants and staff.  

So sorry for your loss, it was an honor to have met such a wonderful man, father truly blessed 🙏🏽 RIP
