Julie Ann Hasker, a beloved daughter, sister, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026 at the age of 60.
Early Life and Family
Julie was born on October 25, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois, to her loving parents, Syrintha and Ozia Hasker. She was the second of two children born to their blessed union. While her roots began in the Midwest, Julie’s story truly unfolded in the desert southwest. As a young child, she moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona, the city she would proudly call home for the remainder of her life.
Faith, Education, and Passions
Julie’s life was deeply rooted in her faith and her community. As a young child in 1969, she was a dedicated and faithful member of the First Institutional Baptist Church, where she found lifelong fellowship, spiritual strength, and a community that loved her dearly. She grew up in the local area and graduated from Central High School in Phoenix.
Outside of her faith and family, anyone who knew Julie knew she was an incredibly avid sports fan. She lived and breathed purple and orange as a fierce supporter of the Phoenix Suns. Back in the day, nothing brought her more joy than watching her absolute favorite player, Kevin Johnson, dominate the court. Her team spirit and enthusiasm for the game were unmatched.
A Legacy of Love
Julie will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her devotion to her family, and her unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and joy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved brother, Konrad Williams, a lifelong friend, Beverly Shea Douglas, her FIBC family, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Syrintha and Ozia Hasker.
