

resident of Arizona, passed away peacefully at her home in Laveen, surrounded by all those who loved her deeply, on the 11th of August, 2012, at the age of 31. Lakisha was born on the 25th of November, 1980 in South Bend, Indiana. Lakisha moved to Arizona as a young child with her family. Her greatest aspiration as a child was to become a hair stylist. She attended St. Adalbert Elementary in South Bend, & Pueblo Middle School & Corona Del Sol High School in Chandler, AZ. Lakisha graduated from Mesa Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Communications. After graduation she continued her education & received her license in cosmetology. Lakisha was a successful cosmetologist, which led to her opening & running her own salon. She was a faithful servant of God & through all her trials & tribulations she never strayed from her Lord & Savior. She was a member at East Valley Double Portion Spirit Ministry where she learned to walk by faith & not by sight. For the past four years our beloved Lakisha was fighting a battle for her life. During the years she spent with us, she touched our lives & souls. She was a true gift from God that we will always be thankful for. Lakisha will always be our # 1 Diva.

Lakisha is survived by her spouse & soul mate; Vernon Atkins of Phoenix, AZ. Love is one of the most special and powerful
feelings in the world, & love is whatVernon and Lakisha found 15 years ago when they met. Since, they have never left each other’s side. Few people ever find their soul mate, but these two lovely people found true love in each other. Lakisha is also survived by her parents; Brian Webb Sr. of Plainfield, IN & Cheryl Smith Webb of Phoenix, AZ, her grandparents; George Smith, Annie Smith, & Francis Webb, her siblings; Brian Webb Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Theresa & Felicia Webb of Phoenix, AZ, & Brandon Webb ofthe US Army, who is stationed in South Korea. She leaves behind her beautiful children; Verkeeha age 12 & Sania Atkins age 7, & step daughter Shikira Suell, age 20, her aunts & uncles; Zanda Smith, George Smith, Edward Smith, Carmon Rudolph, James Webb Jr., Mary Williams, Ronald Webb, Donnie Webb, Bobby Webb, Patricia Webb, Hollie Webb, David Webb, & Doris Smith, and by her in- laws; Minnie Atkins, Darnell Coretta, LaKenya, Joe, Richard Atkins,Dedra, Vanessa, Jerry, Billy, Ronnie, Charles Atkins. Some special people to recognize also are Lakisha’s cousin/sister; Lynette Riley cousin; Tierra Franklin, Godparents: Lula & Lawrence Malone, aunts; Kim Boyd & Miss Wanda Grier, her best friend; Doniel Henderson “Boo”, Godchildren; Quinshawn Hopkins, Tirrek Henderson, & Richard Atkins Jr., and a host of many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends.
