

Born on September 7, 1949, to Mattie Lee Rodgers and Raymond Garfield, Linda was a devoted and compassionate woman who deeply touched the lives of those around her.
Linda graduated from Phoenix Union High School and later met and married Billy Randles on September 17, 1967. Together, they were blessed with five children.
She continued her education at Glendale Community College, driven by a lifelong love of learning. Her passion for reading inspired a dedicated career as a librarian at the Phoenix Public Library, where she served for 30 years. Her wide-ranging knowledge and generous spirit made her a trusted and cherished resource to colleagues, family, and friends alike.
Linda was well known for her delicious cakes and love of baking. People from work, around town, and throughout her neighborhood often sought her out for her famous cakes, affectionately calling her “the cake lady.”
She came to know the Lord at an early age through the loving guidance and spiritual influence of her mother-in-law, Pastor Ivy Randles.
Linda is preceded in death by her daughter, Yolanda Randles, her great-grandchild, Javan Babers, and siblings, Debra Mays, Sheila Echols, Teresa Thompson, and Donald Starr.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Randles, children, Doris Randles, Anita Randles-Terronez, Victoria Randles, and Billy Randles Jr., siblings, Marvin Fox, Lisa Young, Carol and Larry Frazier, along with 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on October 24, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Resthaven / Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens, located at 4310 East Southern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85042. The funeral service will take place at the same location on October 25, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by a graveside service.
Linda's life was a testament to her dedication to her family, her community, and her faith. Her legacy will be remembered with love and admiration by all who knew her.
