Loretta May Meiner

Loretta May Hurley Meiner, born April 26, 1929, in Peoria, Illinois to Rose and Michael Hurley married Alfred Arcine Meiner on June 1, 1947. Upon her 93rd year, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother, left our world to meet her Lord and Savior, on December 27, 2022, while being lovingly cared for by her granddaughter Dixie and husband Danny Cagle in Avondale Arizona. Loretta was preceded by her parents, Rose and Michael Hurley, her brothers, Michael Hurley Jr., Robert Hurley, Ralph Hurley and sisters Franny Vandergriff and Kate Ring. She is survived by her two sisters Jane Danely of Bartonville, Illinois and Jeanette Satterfield of Eddyville, Kentucky. Loretta has joined and is rejoicing with her beloved husband Alfred Arcine (1972) and son, Kenneth Dale (1970) and many more family members and friends.

Loretta raised three children, Patricia (Jim) Salsman, of Pekin, IL, Carol (Wayne) Sorrells of Willcox, AZ and Kenneth Dale, who left this world too early.

Loretta has 6 grandchildren that love her beyond measure, Lisa Reisch of Phoenix, Barbara (Jeff) Daraban of Roanoke, IL, Dorane (Terry) Salsman of Creve Coeur, IL, Tammy (Rob) Wells of East Peoria, IL, Dennis Todd (Jeanna) Salsman of Fulton, Missouri and Dixie (Danny) Cagle of Avondale, AZ. She was the great grandmother to 17 and great great grandmother to 17.

Services will be held Friday Jan 6th, 2023, at Resthaven Funeral Home 4310 E Southern Ave Phoenix, AZ 85042 at 12:30-2:30p.m.
