90, passed away on June 24, 2010. She was born on October 1, 1919 to Jack and Edna Butler and raised in Gholson County, Mississippi. She moved to Arizona in 1955 and spent her life as a homemaker, wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was active in her church for many years working in Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and as an active member of Women on Mission. Jimmie had many friends and was loved by all who knew her. Those who preceded her in death were her husband of 62 years, James; three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her children, James Douthit III (Barbara), Cheryl Schulz (Terry), Ron Douthit and Debra Weaver; grandchildren, Todd, Ehren, and Mamie as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:30am at Twin Butte Baptist Church, 7202 S. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ 85042. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to Hospice of the Valley or to the Phoenix, Art Museum Docent Endowment Fund.
