Heyy girl, it’s me. Im thinking about you and missing you. Everyone at work randomly brings you up. I wish things were different. Thank you for being such an amazing friend to me. You changed my life. Every time I think about Taco Tuesday, or uncomfy bras, and how you didn’t like your hair touching the back of your neck. You were such a silly girl. I am very saddened to hear of Marlaina passing. My prayers are with her family. I knew her when she was 18. We lost touch over the years. She will always be in my heart.

Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me.. You accepted Jasmine & myself as your sisters when mom took us in. I will forever be grateful she did take us in and that we all became so close..  I will forever cherish all the memories we had and all the memories you’ve told me when we were little and you and Kristy use to take me and Jas to the mall on the city bus and we used to call you mom or when you took me and Jas to get our first tattoos and I was only 17 and you signed off as my mom so I was able to get one lol.  You definitely had that role of being a mother under control. I’m so grateful that i still get to see a version of you everyday while helping mom raise Jaycee into a beautiful, strong, independent, headstrong women just like her mama was. The pain I feel in my heart I just know will never go away..  I stay up at night just praying that this is all a bad dream that we will wake up from. I always use to say I never want to feel the pain of loosing anyone so close; but especially loosing a sibling..  I’m trying so hard laina to be strong for everyone especially mom & Jaycee in this time but i’m struggling and I know you would say “it’s okay, everything is going to be okay”.  I just want to tell you that you will live on through us, you will never go as forgotten. We will share the great memories and person you are to our children and to your children also. They need to know how special their mama was to not only us but to everyone you came across.. I can find peace in my heart knowing  that you are okay and flying with grandma & grandpa houser and grandma & papa Goodwin. Jayden tells me “mama is Laina flying in the clouds with my granny now?” I wish you could of stayed a while longer so you could see them grow up..  Jayden looks forward to you visiting her in her dreams just like her granny does.. 

We will miss you endlessly Laina.

You were like home to me. I’ll forever be homesick until we are together again. More than a cousin, you were my best friend. You would even say we were like sisters. You’ve been by my side through everything in life, the good and the bad. 
You’re beautiful inside and out. I’m grateful for your love, guidance and all the fun we had together. It brings me peace knowing you are with our Lord and past relatives. I love you and miss you dearly.

Sweet Marlaina, you were a very special woman  who loved our son with all your heart.  Your dreams of finding your true love and making a life together were finally coming true. We had such a wonderful vacation together and saw how happy you both were when you flashed your shiny new ring.  It was such a special day, not only for you both, but for all of us.  Sweetheart, we miss you and pray that your soul finds peace with our Savior.  May our Lord hold you, love you, and keep you safe in His loving arms.  Rest In peace, sweet Laina.

We were having such a wonderful time on vacation that I knew I had picked the perfect time and place to ask you to marry me.  I had dreamt about this moment when I realized we were soulmates and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.  We were looking at geckos and I bent down and pretended to fix my shoe.  I was down on one knee and pulled out your beautiful ring.  You turned, nearly tripping over me, but your face lit up with the most beautiful smile when you looked down, saw the ring, and I asked you to marry me.  Your yes was all I ever needed.  It was the happiest moment in my life.  I’m so sorry and sad that we weren’t able to fulfill our dreams of growing old together.  I love you Laina and always will.  Sleep peacefully my love.

Marlaina, I look at those crazy family pictures when they would mix us up because of our size not what parents we belonged to.  We had fun & who wouldn’t with Grandpa there.  You are in such wonderful company in heaven.  We will see the whole lot of you there.  As usual, your Mom is taking care of everyone & we will try to take care of her & your Dad.  We will all pull together.  Love you darling girl!💕❤️😘

Laina, I hope you’re with Grandma and Grandpa Houser smiling down upon us.  You were always so chill, so loving, always helping others.  You are a true Angel and I will always Love you and cherish our memories growing up amongst us cousins.

I will always remember Laina as one of my first friends in this neighborhood; as the girl I tried to teach how to swing a baseball bat and in the process gave my brother a black eye (on accident) for standing behind us while swinging,  and as the girl who taught me "Bubble Gum Bubble Gum In A Dish" anytime we tried to figure out who would be "IT" when we all played Tag. 

This is such a tragic loss. May the Family find peace and love during these tough times. My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with you all. Rest In Ever Lasting Piece , my old friend.
