Marta was a fierce Mama Bear when it came to her son, Tom and daughter Emily, and her grandchildren.
Marta had a fire for life and a dynamic sense of humor. She was a firecracker in a small package. She could come out with some amazing wit even at times during her own deepest challenges and despairs. She loved the world of gardening, she was the “plant whisper“. If you had an ailing plant Marta was the nurse. Cooking was another of her talents she enjoyed sharing with others. Marta took joy in giving her heart and soul in making others happy. Being there for her family and friends was who Marta was at her deepest core.
Marta had a deep desire for Bible knowledge. Later in life she undertook a study of the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses. Through her study and research process, Marta was thrilled to learn about God‘s promises. She especially looked forward to being able to live forever on the earth, Psalms 37:29 “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it“, and death being done away with, Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever, and the sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all their faces.” , and sickness being removed from the human family, Isaiah 33 : 24 “ and no resident will say:”I am sick.” The people dwelling in the land will be pardon for their error.”
These and many other Bible truths comforted Marta through her many health challenges, along with the love and support of her beloved family and friends.
