Mary Lee Lane was born on July 21, 1959 to parents William and Mary Ann Randall in Seattle, WA. She grew up with two older sisters: Julie and Linda. At age 11, the family moved from Seattle to Tempe, Arizona. Mary went to McClintock High School, where she participated in drama and had an active social life. She married Bruce Lane in November, 1977. They welcomed their only daughter, April, three years later, while Bruce was stationed at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico.
Mary spent most of her adult life living in Arizona, with brief stints in California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and a year living abroad in South Africa. She loved to go camping and spend time with family and friends. After April went off to college, Mary and Bruce divorced in 1999. Over the next 24 years, Mary had a series of health challenges, but ultimately found happiness in the desert of Apache Junction, living with her partner John, enjoying views of horses and the Superstition Mountains. Mary and John loved spending time with their children and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her sister Julie, daughter April, and her granddaughters (Chloe and Clara), along with her partner John Cain, John’s children (Nathaniel, Natasha, Autumn, Aeriel, and Alesha), and grandchildren (Bryce, Sophie, Daniel, Cain, Makiya, Myla, and Avery).
