To my extended family, the Figueroa's,

No words can describe how much this wonderful "Patriarch" has touch so many lives. Saying he was the life of the party is an understatement. He WAS the party and will continue to be part of every party from now on for he often reminded us how to treat others with kindness, strangers like family and family like gold. His infectious smile will forever be etched in my memory and will forever be used as a template on how to treat others. With God's grace and permission, I hope it will be YOU, Monchie to greet me at heaven's gates! Then I know that I have made it to the party on time. With all my love, gratitude, and honor to have known such a wonderful soul.

Over the last few days many great memories have resurface each one had the same theme of celebrations. Regardless of the event birthday, holiday, football game, track meet, or just a Sunday afternoon with Monchie every gathering was a fiesta.
Monchie would be the first to greet my family and I at the door offering a smile, hug, and beer (not always in that order) and he would listen wholeheartedly when inquiring how things are going. Thank you for always being at the door and when we meet again I know you will be there to greet with a hug, smile, and a yes a cold beer. Forever in our Hearts you'll stay. We will Love you and remember you every single day!

I met you so young, that we became family instantly and you some how became like a grandpa to us. You were someone that if one of my boyfriends didnt meet, then they probably werent a boyfriend🤣. Anyone who was lucky enough to be in your presence , got a glimpse of a cool, extra ordinary, genuinely welcoming ,honest man. Your house was everyones house. No one was a guest but a family member . You had a way to make a stranger feel loved and you had a contagious smile always on display,i never once seen you not happy. You taught me that no matter what you go through, you show up with a smile ,some jokes, and some beer. Thank you for always asking about my kids and parents, for years of christmas eve memories, for always making sure to top my beer and never leaving with out a hug. You will always be loved and remembered.

Dear Monchie,
You have made an impact on everyone who has crossed paths with you. You are the life of the party and at the same time the steady beat of the Figueroa family. You have taught us so much and I am sure you weren't even meaning to. First, we truly know now to live each day like it could be our last. Which is something you always did. Secondly, to celebrate all the big moments in everyone's life but more importantly the little ones too. Lastly, a little bit of conversation and a cold beer goes a long way. We will forever cheers in your honor. Thank you for watching me grow up and being there for my little moments as well as my big ones.
