Richard (Dick) Skelton born January 30, 1926 in Prairie Grove, AK passed away at home in Tucson, AZ on February 16, 2011. he served as a Medic during World War II in the United States Navy. He also served in the Unites States Marine Corp in the South Pacific. Richard worked for 30 years in the Copper Mines in San Manuel, AZ where part of his duties was to train mine rescue teams. He was inducted into the Mine and Rescue Hall of Fame in 2000. Richard is survived by daughter Marie (Greg) Luna of Tucson, AZ; son Bob (Lorri) Skelton of Chattaroy, WA; granddaughters Carolyne, Donetta and Melissa; grandson Richard (Lynette) Skelton; great grandchildren Gregory, Cienna and Jax along with a host of other relatives and freinds. Graveside Services will be held 10:00am, Monday, February 21, 2011 at East Resthaven Park Cemetery, 4310 E. Southern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85042.
