Rita Sherrell Turner, 66, of Phoenix, AZ passed away August 28, 2015 surrounded by family. Rita was born in Lawton, OK on June 7, 1949. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1968. Rita worked for the city of Phoenix as a Senior Services Supervisor for Senior Opportunities West (SOW) for over 25 years. Rita is survived by her husband Curtis Turner, children; Paul Caldwell, Jr. and Tela Turner of Phoenix. She is also survived by her sister Jeanette “JJ” Strong of Mesa, AZ and her brother Alford Green of Wichita, KS along with her daughter-in-law, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and a host of relatives. Rita is preceded in death by her parents Mary F. Randle, Henry B Randle (Edgar Thomas & Ruby Beatrice Bolden), her brother Roosevelt Thomas, and her beloved son Curtis Turner, Jr. No services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens.
