It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert S. Muller, on Aug. 6, 2020 at the age of 81. Bob was born in Red Bank, NJ on Aug. 9, 1938, where his family spent their summers. Even though he was born in New Jersey, his pride for growing up in Brooklyn was apparent to everyone he met.
Bob was pre-deceased by Arlene, his loving wife of over 53 years. He was a dedicated family man and is survived by his 6 loving children: Robert Jr., Frances and her husband Tracy, Elizabeth and her husband John, Marie, Mark and his wife Kerry and Michael, along with 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his sisters Eleanor and Elizabeth, and his brothers Peter, Paul, and Gerard. He was pre-deceased by his sister Ruth, his brothers William, Joseph, and Arthur.
Bob was never afraid of hard work starting at a young age. He instilled that work ethic in all his children and was a good Union man, working as a carpenter in Local 608 and driving a truck as a member of the Teamsters.
Bob was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church of Phoenix, AZ and in retirement, worked tirelessly as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He loved attending mass every day, saying the rosary and helping his church community in any way he could.
He is loved dearly and will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to The Hospice of the Valley or to Catholic Charites would be greatly appreciated.
