Rose Mary Green

Our mother, Rose Mary Green (Nieters), gained her heavenly wings on April 2, 2016. She was our angel on earth and is now our guardian angel. She was born October 3, 1926 and was raised in Rockville, Minnesota. She married Gerald Green on November 15, 1947. They resided in Morris, Minnesota for many years until they relocated to Tempe, Arizona in 1970. They had 57 years together and were blessed with eight children.

Our mom dedicated her life to her husband and children. She had the patience of a saint, never had a bad word to say about anyone, and was a very good listener. She was always there for us and was a part of everything in which we were involved. We were all very spoiled by her home baked goodies and home cooking. Everyone headed to her freezer when they visited because they knew there would be an array of goodies to choose from. We were all very blessed to have her as our mother and grandmother.

Rose Mary is survived by her children who adored her, Susie Andert (Cal), Dave (Dorothy), Bev, Donna Kunemund (Gary), Mike (Karen), Chris (Donna), Julie Bresnahan (Dave), 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and brother, Albert Nieters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; her son, Gary; her grandson, Vince Green; and her sister, Edith Mullen.

There will be a rosary at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 11 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Tempe. A mass to celebrate Rose Mary’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Our Lady of Mount Carmel St. Vincent de Paul Society or Hospice of the Valley.
