Rosella Lynn Nelson Hutchison was born in Miami, Arizona on January 7, 1950 and was the daughter of Milton and Georgie Nelson. She graduated from Miami High School as part of the class of 1968. Rosella moved down to the valley where she met and married the love of her life, Ted Hutchison, on January 26, 1974. Rosella was preceded in death by Ted, who sadly passed away in 1990.
She spent her career in Phoenix working in the telecommunications field or at “the phone company” as she used to say. At the conclusion of her professional career, she was a Training Manager at Qwest Communications.
Rosella met a wonderful man, Buck Biddle, who would be her companion for many years to come. Buck also sadly passed away in April 2020. Following her retirement, Rosella moved to Lakeside, AZ and purchased a home in the pine trees. She loved to watch the birds and the wildlife. Rosella volunteered at the Show Low Center for the Arts and was part of the Arts Alliance of the White Mountains. She hosted many gatherings and art showings at the gallery.
Rosella moved back down to Phoenix in 2014 to be closer to her family where she remained until her passing. Rosella is survived by her two children, Christoper Nelson and Elise Weeks; son-in-law Robert Weeks; grandchildren Zack Layton, Kyle Layton, and Jordan Celeya; sisters Evelyn Nelson and Darlene Owens; her Mother Georgie Nelson; as well as two life-long friends Teri Mosier and Marie Clayburn. Rosella touched so many peoples lives in the time she was here on earth. Though she will be so deeply missed, we can take comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her true love and together they will walk through the gates of heaven.
