The photo you have chosen depicts Ruby-Do and Daddy to a T. I believe I took that picture of them on a road trip to Sedona once when I was visting. Ruby was such an easy-going person, such a love; no wonder our father fell head over heels for her and spent the happiest years of his life in her smiling company, playing word games, dancing and loving his Ruby-Do. As Jan noted, we were so very fortunate to have been able to get over to visit with her last year, dividing out time up in two visits, the more joy to give her in her lonesomeness. I loved and miss Ruby so much there are no words that would explain what I'm feeling.  I am so very glad we got to visit with her in Tempe a little over a year ago.  She was always so much fun to be with.  But I'm sure she's happy now that she is lying beside Burl, my Dad. I am greatly saddened, crying, to hear that Dear Ruby has passed. I loved the attached picture of Ruby and my Dad, and recall how happy they were together. They were true soul-mates. May Ruby rest in peace together with my father. I am sorry I am not able to attend her graveside service, but will visit their graves in the future. Grant Logan

Dear Grandma Ruby,
I was looking for pictures for your great granddaughter's school project tonight and came across a square dancing photo of Burl and you...it made me smile to see how truly happy you were.  Minutes later, I found a Thank you letter I had wrote you in 1980 for the birthday gifts you gave me.  I was in first grade, so the grammar made me smile.  I ended that letter with Happy Halloween...and I cried.  I will miss you and know that you are with loved ones forever.  I love you grandma xoxoxo

Even though I no longer live behind Ruby, I happened to be in that neighborhood today and something made me stop.  I talked to Tyler who told me about Ruby's passing.  Healing thoughts and prayers to Teri, Janet and Dave and the rest of the family.  May it comfort you to know that others care.  I'm sure Burl was happy to see her!  Hugs, love and prayers+

I was saddened to hear of Aunt Ruby Nell's passing.  I have fond memories of her trips back to Texas and especially my one and only trip to visit her in Arizona, in 1996.

We are truly saddened by the loss of Ruby.  She was such a gentle and kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Our memories of her standing in her kitchen making meals for her family to playing catch with her grandson on the farm will last a lifetime and then some.  She will be in our thoughts and you all in our prayers.  Be comforted in knowing that this gracious woman is now again happy and safe with Burl.
