She was born in Morenci, Arizona on January 11, 1949.
She graduated from Morenci High School, and went on to receive her Associate's degree from Lamson College.
Virgie retired from The Parking Spot, Phoenix's airline shuttle service, after 20 plus years of service.
She enjoyed her hobbies of reading, coloring, and traveling, and always loved to dance, but her true passion was making memories with her family and friends.
Virgie was preceded in death by her eldest son, Eric Sanchez (Rachel Sanchez), her brothers Gilbert Cervantez and Charlie Cervantez, and her grandsons, Eric Sanchez and Elijah Sanchez.
She is survived by her children, Veronica Sanchez, Emilio Sanchez, Leeandra Gortarez (Anthony Gortarez), Angelic Sanchez, Joanna Sanchez, and Christina Sanchez, her sister, Arlene Ortega, as well as her 35 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Upon This Rock Christian Church, 3050 S Country Club Dr, Mesa, AZ 85210, on November 6, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Her legacy of love and devotion will live on through her beloved family and friends.
