Walter grew up in San Francisco California. The only Son of Walter and Olga Elms. In his late twenties he jumped on his motorcycle and left San Francisco bound for Phoenix this would be where he called home. That is where he met and fell in love with the Love of his life of 35 years Karen Elms. Although they never had children of their own, Walter and Karen were surrounded by the love of many nieces and nephews.
He worked for many years throughout phoenix for many construction companies, until retiring to spend quality time with his wife and family.
Walter had a love for motorcycles, building model cars and boats and anything Star Trek. He loved to bake and Chocolate Ghirardelli Brownies were his specialty.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Olga Elms, his Father and Mother in-law, James and Margerette Hunt, Sister in-law Susan Cantrell and Sister in-law Glenda Walls. He is survived by his wife Karen Elms and Brother in-law Jim Hunt and Brother in-law Kenny Hunt, and many nieces and nephews.
